Movie Story


From local playwright, David Armand, Late Shift is a play in two acts set during the Y2K panic on New Year’s Eve 1999. The story centers on two siblings and their widowed mother as they navigate family tensions, uncertainty about the future, and unexpected connections. One of the siblings meets Russell, a semi-retired Army veteran, on New Year’s Eve, setting in motion a series of conversations and discoveries that unfold as the world waits to see what midnight will bring.
